The Sea Dogs are a New Jersey-based musical band and pirate/privateer re-enactment group. While visiting the Indian King Tavern Museum, they will perform traditional sea shanties, which were work songs, foc’sle songs sung for entertainment by sailors, and instrumental pieces played for dancing. Audience members will be encouraged to sing along, clap, and stomp their feet. This program is not only fun, but educational as well teaching about ships, sailors and life at sea in the age of sail.
VENUE: Indian King Tavern (2) Performances at 6:15 to 7:15pm and 7:45 to 8:45pm
In between performances there will be tours of the Indian King Tavern.
